When are orange plates required?
Orange plates mark the vehicle/unit: plain plates front and rear when required; numbered side plates show the hazard identification number over the UN number. Dimensions and placement are in ADR 5.3.2.
Under the ADR 1.1.3.6 small-load exemption, if the calculated points total does not exceed the exemption threshold, heavy obligations such as orange plates, the ADR driver certificate and tunnel restrictions do not apply — basic rules (packaging, labelling, documents) still apply.
HazSeal computes sealed 1.1.3.6 points and surfaces placarding checks; it does not certify that plates may be omitted for your specific carriage.
